Contact NACCUA when you need information about institutional accreditation, eligibility, applications, fees, current accreditation status, or public verification. NACCUA welcomes inquiries from educational institutions, students, educators, employers, credential evaluators, government organizations, and members of the public.
Contact by purpose
When to contact NACCUA.
Providing the purpose of your inquiry and enough identifying information helps NACCUA route the question correctly and respond with information that is relevant to the institution or issue involved.
Institutional accreditation
Institutions interested in NACCUA accreditation should provide the institution’s full name, location, website, principal programs, delivery model, operating status, and the name and role of a knowledgeable institutional contact. If the institution is new, identify whether it is already operating or preparing to begin operations.
Accreditation verification
For current accreditation status, provide the institution’s complete name and location. If the institution has used another legal name, operating name, or former name, include that information when known. NACCUA verifies status from its official accreditation record.
Applicant questions
If you are preparing an accreditation application, Institutional Accreditation Report, institutional response, or supporting evidence, identify the institution and explain the document, requirement, or process question involved. Questions about the application process may also be answered on the Apply page.
Fees and costs
Questions about application, review, annual maintenance, Site Review expenses, or other charges should identify the institution and anticipated accreditation scope. Current published amounts are available on the Accreditation Fees and Costs page.

Credential evaluation inquiries
Accreditation verification and credential evaluation are different functions.
NACCUA can verify the accreditation status shown in its own official record. It does not make another institution, employer, licensing authority, government agency, or credential evaluator accept a particular credential.
For information about independent evaluation of education completed outside the United States, the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) provides information about its member credential-evaluation organizations.
NACCUA does not control third-party credential evaluations and does not represent that verification of NACCUA accreditation guarantees transfer, employment, licensing, or other acceptance decisions.
Specific institutions
Use identifying information for verification questions.
When you contact NACCUA about a particular institution, identify the institution as precisely as possible. Similar names, former names, branch locations, online operations, and changes in ownership can make a general inquiry difficult to match to the correct record.
Application and policy questions
Ask about the requirement or process involved.
For applicant questions, cite the relevant standard, eligibility requirement, application section, evidence request, or institutional-response item when possible. NACCUA can explain its published process and requirements but does not prepare an institution’s accreditation case on its behalf.
